can YOU still buy the nokia n95 in the Philippines and for how much????

My friend is going to the philippines in February, for two weeks.
She said she would get one for me.
But someone said that the phone is fazed out.
Now you can’t it there, it that true????
Also I live in Canada if i give five hundred dollars (canadian) would that be enough to cover it?????

There are two models available actually, there are two versions available here in the Philippines

N95 (original version 160 MB) – Php 25,000 ( 615 Canadian Dollars)

N95 (8gb versions) – Php 30,000 (740 Canadian Dollars)

I’m quoting a very rough estimate coz there is a big price range for cellular phones here in the Philippines depends on where you actually buy it. Whether you buy it in the big chain stores (in malls) or the mom-pop-bazaar-type cellphone shops (we have lots of those here it seems the Filipinos are very obsessed with cellphones)

If your friend has a host/relatives here in the Philippines, I would suggest that she should ask them to take her to Greenhills. (It’s kinda like the cellphone haven here) you would get the best prices here. Those mall stores are about 3k-5k pesos more expensive than the ones in Greenhills.
