How do I remove the annoying ‘insert’ toolbar from the bottom of my create message screen on a new Nokia 6600?

I just got a new Nokia 6600 and when I go to create a text message, half of the text box is now covered up by an annoying and unnecessary toolbar offering options to insert things like sound clips, calendar note etc. I have been through all the options menus and so far I can find no way to remove it.
I presume this feature is included on most new Nokia phones so I was wondering if anyone knows how to get rid of it?
