i just got a nokia 7610 supernova from london, but it keeps asking for a restriction code, what should i do?

im in the US, and im with at and t. i already put my sim card in the phone but it says the phones restricted and i need a restriction code.
so its locked, oh ok

The device is locked to whatever service provider it was manufactured for. All SIM unlock codes are tied to the particular device IMEI and are carrier specific. The request for that code would need to be made from the carrier that the phone was originally manufactured for.
