The New Nokia Camera Phone
The Samsung G800 is a 3G HSDPA slider phone. The device has a stainless steel finish. It has a 2.4 inch, 256 K colours TFT display that has a resolution of 240 x 320 pixels. The handset is equipped with a built-in WAP 2.0 browser that shows web pages in their true form. It has a 5 megapixel camera which is equipped with features like xenon flash, 3x optical zoom and autofocus. Its music player supports all popular music file formats like MP3, AAC, eAAC+ and WMA.
The 5 megapixel camera is the key selling point of Samsung G800. The camera has 4x digital zoom and 3x optical zoom. Optical zoom is not new to camera phones. The handset’s Face Detection feature allows it to recognise human faces that fall within the view-field of its camera. The camera automatically adjusts its focus to produce a good quality image. The Samsung G800 comes after samsung g600 with TV-out feature allows the user to see his or her videos and photographs on television. Its Document Viewer allows the user to view popular file formats like Word, Excel and PowerPoint. The handset supports Bluetooth, therefore the user can transfer files to and from the handset with other compatible devices. It has a predictive keyboard that automatically corrects spelling and grammatical mistakes as one types text into the device.
The phone is equipped with a standard Li-ion battery that has a talktime of upto 3 hours & 30 minutes and a standby time of upto 220 hours. Its phonebook can store upto 1000 contacts. There is room for email address, street address, website address, job title and nickname for each contact in the phonebook. The device has 160 MB of internal memory that can be expanded further by using a microSD memory card. The device weighs 134 gm and measures 101 x 51.1 x 18.8 mm.
